Stephen Ong is a Medical Retina Sub-specialist Ophthalmologist with an interest in diabetic eye disease and age related macular degeneration.
After graduating from the University of Sydney, he completed his ophthalmic training at Sydney Eye Hospital. He completed his Medical Retina Fellowship training with Professor Paul Mitchell at Westmead Hospital and became involved in many of the leading clinical trials in ophthalmic research.
As well as his Bowral practice in Dr Macken’s rooms, Dr Ong is a Consultant Ophthalmologist in the Retinal Units at Liverpool and Westmead Hospitals and is currently involved as the treating investigator in many worldwide clinical trials, related to uveitis, vascular occlusions, diabetes and macular degeneration
