Georgina’s areas of interest include the management of cataract, inflammatory eye disease, and medical retinal conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular occlusions. She also welcomes general ophthalmology patients to her practice.
Georgina holds undergraduate and Masters degrees from Stanford University.
She earned her medical degree with honours from the University of Sydney, completed ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital and was a senior registrar at Westmead Hospital, focusing on medical retina treatments and oculoplastics surgery.
Georgina completed two fellowships in the UK (medical retina and uveitis) with Professor Andrew Dick at the leading Bristol Eye Hospital where she subsequently practiced as an ophthalmology specialist and cataract surgeon.
Georgina is highly experienced in performing laser treatments, intravitreal injections and cataract surgery, among other ophthalmic procedures.
Georgina is an investigator on clinical trials assessing new treatments for medical retina and uveitis conditions. She has published widely in both academic and popular medical literature. She collaborates internationally with medical researchers and retinal imaging device companies. Georgina is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. Her mission is to protect her patients’ vision by using the latest proven, treatments and technologies.
